Interview: Perez Hilton

The self proclaimed Queen of All Media born Mario Lavendeira answered our interview questions this weekend and he failed to dissapoint. His blog gets about 10 million views per day, in October he had a high of 228.7 million views! Did you know that he gets up everyday at 4 A.M. to update and feed our insatiable hunger for gossip. People En Espanol just named him one of the most influential people and he just bumped into T.R. Knight and his boo in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This year has been full of highlights for him like meeting Madonna, hanging out with Katy Perry & Lady Gaga, starting his new line at Hot Topic, being invited to Hollywood's hottest parties and not to mention those mysterious white scribbles on your favorite celebrity photos. So here it is:

Best moment thus far?
“Well there are too many but my top four include being tied down by Christina Aguilera on stage as she serenaded/stripped down her version of “Nasty Naughty Boy” and I was officially named P-Nasty as she whipped me like a little school boy. Second was meeting Madonna this year. She was so down to earth, I was speechless. Next is getting my own MTV show, that was so much fun I got to lay in bed with Patti Labelle & Amy Winehouse. Finally, meeting Hillary Clinton and then writing to our president elect Obama in The Advocate.”

What is your biggest pet peeve?

"That celebrities hate the paparazzi, its kind of a oxymoron. Also when I’m looking for a date, I meet somebody and they don’t call back, come on! Lastly, people who don't like dogs. I love my dog and if you don't love Teddy, you can't love me or get love from me, sorry, its a deal breaker."

What are you listening to right now?

"Okay, so I am going to admit it, "Single Ladies" by Beyonce. As much as I rag on her, I just told MTV.com that I really liked her album, in fact one of the best of the year. Okay, enough about her, I'm also listening to Robyn, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, RiRi, Lily Allen, Kanye West (he name checks me on his new album on Therapy), M.I.A., Estelle, Tori Amos, Sharon Jones, Yo Majesty, Semi Precious Weapons, Madonna and the list goes on. FYI my single is on iTunes its titled The Clap."

Most awkward moment?
“OMG, easy meeting two people that I rag on all the time. First, meeting Avril Lavigne, she totally rolled her eyes at me and walked past me. Second was not too bad but I almost died, I don’t care for Miley Cyrus but at the theatre for a screening of Tropic Thunder she came up to me and was like, “Hi Perez”. Talk about awkward, played it off and I almost pissed my pants but I told her "You are kinda genius.” She didn't take it too kindly and she told me, "Thanks for calling me a disney slut!" and she walked off!"

What is the best advice you can give us?
“Don’t be fooled by these celebrities who say that they eat whatever they want. That’s a lie. They starve themselves, they work out like crazy, and they spend all their time and energy on ‘fitness’ also known as eating disorders. And that’s what you’re going to do! As for me I decided to start losing weight for me and my health not for anyone, I say look good, feel good for you!”

Final Thoughts?
“If you drink and drive in Hollywood, you will get busted. It’s hard to focus with all the distractions of an arrest, but a mug shot is a photo, and photos are forever. Always give a fierce mug shot. Oh and go ahead and be shameless about whoring out your baby- but then don’t say you hate the paparazzi. If you live in Hollywood and you pimp your kid out to People magazine, get ready for him to be a zoo monkey the rest of his life. Those millions don’t come for free honey. Buy my book on January 6th! "There's so many [albums] that were so good. I can't pick just one. I loved the Ting Tings; they're amazing. I love Katy Perry's album. I love Lady Gaga. You know what? I rag on her a bunch, but I think Beyoncé delivered a vey solid album. I liked the combo this year of 'Closer' and 'Forever' by Ne-Yo and Chris Brown. They're like sister songs. I listened to one, then jammed out to the other. 'Single Ladies,' that was a good one. I made a video to that one. I did the dance moves and everything. It was pretty fab." -MTV.com
