Chris Brown pleads, "Not Guilty!"

Chris Brown appeared in court with his attorney, Mark Geragos, for his arraignment at the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in Los Angeles, California on Monday (March 6).
Chris is charged with two felonies for the alleged assault on Rihanna during an argument on Feb. 8, 2009. The 19-year-old singer pleaded “not guilty, your honor”, when asked for his plea by L.A. Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg. Sources inside the courtroom say Chris’ mom spent the entire preliminary hearing either in tears or praying for her 19-year-old son. Chris also brought along four bodyguards with him. He is due back in court on April 29th. Check out his plea bargain video courtesy of CNN:

Do we need to state the obvious...Chris Brown is totally not guilty (I'm being sarcastic)...do we need to revisit the famous Rihanna picture with her bruising. I guess some people just run into people's fists all the time! What do you think?

  7. wow…it’s just a shame. I hope he get his life back on track…Rhianna too. They too young for all that stress, and mess.

  8. this is kinda off topic but since chris brown is down on his luck...why aren't justin timberlake or usher trying to win back the title of r&b king... ne-yo is killin' em!

  9. these pics look so fake….I guess they told him to acted sad cause he damn show wasn’t sad when he was in Miami or when he was beating her @ss

  10. What GENIUS told him to wear such a form-fitting outfit??? The last think you want to do is LOOK like you have the physical ability to back up your “Not Guilty” plea. Dumb move on his PR’s part…

  11. lol! dude looks SHOOK. It looks as if he’s about to start crying at any moment. I feel for you love, but you gotta accept responsibility for your actions. Had you not turned into Flo Jo at the crime scene, you might could’ve told your side and Rihanna would be facing the truth too. But you ran like a fat woman from a diet plan and now you gotta face the music. I’ll be praying for him though

  12. son; there are few people on this earth that can “cast” the first stone. so keep your head up. just stay in conscience contact w/ your god. and son you must change . you cannot—— beat’em, buy’em, or control them [women]. and if you do its only for a moment. and this kind of love it won’t last long. and the end result will be this nightmare you’re in now. if you got trust and control issues w/ women son you must work on it,pray on it, then let go and let god. and we folks thats in a hurry to fast track this young boy to hell ——- be careful. thats why iam so glad today— ” i know my redeemeer lives. i know he lives……….. i’ve been there and done that god forgives when the hypocrites the high preist and the pharisee’s want to nail you to the cross. this is but 1 test you have to go through in your young life.

  13. I dont understand how ppl still still support him, I understand the whole being brought up in a abusive family, but still he beat her unconsciously and ran off, how if that aint guilty what is!?!?!??!

  14. Good Luck Chris… You sure dont deserve the time that you may be facing… You were wrong and need to face charges but I know drug dealers who get less then a year and if T.I can have all those guns and do 1 year then I say 1 year or probation is good enough…

    Good luck

  15. Sources have confirmed it’s official. Rihanna and Chris are still together, she never even left him. This is the main reason he’s pleading not guilty. He has her on side, encouraging him to hope for a light punishment and they both know she would never forgive herself if he received a harsh punishment. Obviously due to the harsh media scrutiny, they’ve been forced to distance themselves from one another…and infact avoid being photo’d together. Although Chris’ camp are STILL doing everything they can do to do the opposite, and infact have them seen together. Rhianna is putting her career first, but definitely not her self-esteem. She’s often been overheard picking baby names for the kids her and Chris “will definitely have one day”, and she’s adamant her and Chris are “meant to be” and “soul mates”. Close friends have even started calling her “nuts” to her face for taking him back, but she ignores it & continues to dismiss any criticism by brushing them off as “clueless” because “you don’t understand how real [our] love is”. I personally think she’s crazy, and no amount of fake giggles will fool me. She can smile from ear to ear all she wants, running from city to city hopping from club to club….but deep down she knows she’s a troubled train wreck who needs a major wake up call and guidance

  16. i find it interesting that he is in court fighting for his “freedom” and she is partying in a different state every other day like it’s 1999…

    ReplyDelete
  17. he looks extremely humbled.
    poor kids.
it was wrong but i still feel for em. everybody makes mistakes.

    ReplyDelete
  18. WTF kinda sick twisted deranged situation are these two in?? Chris needs to leave Rihanna ALONE and vise-versa..it’s not healthy for them to be together! Poor Chris, this looks like it’s really stressing him. What is he going back to court for on the 29th? his verdict or sentencing or whatever???????? Sheesh this story is long!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Dang he gotta go to court AGAIN.?

Why dont they let it be over already…April 29..thats like 3 weeks away

    ReplyDelete
  20. Someone please explain to me why ppl are feeling sorry for Chris Brown? Why because he’s making a puppy dog face!? He did not make a mistake. A mistake happens once. Anyone who knows someone in an abusive relationship knows that when someone is beaten like Rihanna was beat, that was NOT the first time it happened. He’s pleading not guilty!? And ppl are actually sympathizing for him!? The only reason why he’s looking sad is because his career is in jeopardy and he’s breaking his mother’s heart! Pray for his mental and emotional recovery. Don’t feel sorry for him.

  21. I am interested in his side of the story. Everything we’ve heard has been from her perspective.

All in all domestic violence is wrong. Something like this should never happen.

    ReplyDelete
  22. This whole thing really is going to far,no one knows what happened.and clearly riri not mad at him.besides she wasnt the one who called the police to begin with with,as usual it was a nosey azz white person not minding they business.leave them alone, they both young and made mistakes.they obviously love each other and want to be together so leave them be. they love making examples out of black celebrities, but lindsay and nicole riding around driving drunk as hell snorting coke and all they getting is probation. thats just as serious as whooping some azz. im not racist,im just stating the facts.

    ReplyDelete
  23. i just dont know about this situation….im not going to judge him but if he’s wrong,he’s just wrong…if the first thing he thought of was to do was smack the girl around a bit then he deserves to be punished,i wouldve rather him just put her out on the side of the road, there were many ways to handle the situation if she was supposedly out of control……call it what it is,he messed up and now he has to pay for it.
like i keep sayin,if chris just gets a slap on the wrist for beatin a HUMAN BEING and michael vick had to do time then our system is seriously effed up…..and this is not wishing anything negative on dude but im just sayin,we already know how this will turn out!

    ReplyDelete
  24. He should plead guilty and try to get a lesser degree punishment or whatever the term is.. I know it’s easy for me to say though.. but I think it’s “just.”
If he’s interested in his career, I think that would possibly help. He’s taking responsibility.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I CAN ONLY HOPE FOR THE BEST FOR BOTH OF THEM. WE ALL REALLY DON’T KNOW WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED THAT NIGHT BUT I DO KNOW THAT THEY BOTH ARE YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE STILL LEARNING FROM THEIR MISTAKES. HOWEVER THIS PLAYS OUT , I’M SURE THEY BOTH CAN MOVE ON FROM THIS AND CONTINUE TO LIVE THEIR LIFE.

MAY GOD BLESS THEM BOTH AND THEIR FAMS!!!!

    -T

  26. Puhlease, just because he puts on puppy dog eyes and acts all solemn doesn’t mean he’s innocent or feels sorry. He doesn’t give a damn. If he cared so much about his life and career he wouldn’t have beat her up, it wasn’t a slap on the face we all saw the pics he beat the crap out of her. He’s a grown boy and knew better than to do that.

People do wrong and should be punished, thats life. I’m not saying that he should never be forgiven but he needs to prove he’s sorry and pleaing not guilty indicates that he doesn’t understand the magnitude of what he did!

    The boy needs help

  27. As a woman who has gone through abuse like this, they need time apart and then after time maybe you can start talking again but I don't know about being intimate again.

I could never love someone again after then hit me no matter how much they change...that is just a demon I will not let in.

  28. You can not look at that child and tell me he is not regretting the day he was born. I feel for him, and I know he wants this to be over because I do and its not even my business. And whats this talk about what he wore to court? Tell you what go to your local courthouse and check the ppl walking in for court…they look like bums. Its not a fashion show he fighting for his freedom. I hope all the ppl talking about him getting raped in jail, never have to walk in those shoes. Just like “careers” arent promised to ANYONE, neither is your FREEDOM. Check yourself..

  29. i have no clue why you guys are acting like this case somehow affects you.

he made a mistake, he’s sorry.. keep it moving.
    his career has suffered enough.

  30. GUILTY!

And for these dumb women on here supporting him, you are some sick @&%! to support a woman beater! I don’t care who he is. Money and fame does not buy intelligence or integrity. He is a man just like anyone else and hitting and punching your girlfriend is unacceptable! Yeah he made a mistake and we all do but it would have been a very different story had we heard on the news the next day that she was dead. (Killed at the hands of her boyfriend)

    HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH

    Women are so shallow.

Now Rhi - She is totally stupid to stay with this man. She needs to remember what her face looked like and blood coming out of her mouth before trying to build a life with this man.

As for his mother. I feel sorry for her because she was the victim of domestic violence and I am almost certain she feels a lot of guilt for exposing her son to a man that was not his biological father and he beat her in front of her own child.

She has to be wishing she could do things differently.

Women out there that have sons. Remember a boy will emulate what he sees the man in his home doing so if you have a live in boyfriend that does not respect you, then your son will learn to treat women the same way.

As you sow so shall you reap.
Your deeds, good or bad, will repay you in kind.

  31. Rihanna need to take her Jerry Curls a$$ to court and tell the judge the real deal. Keep your head up Chris!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Keep ya head up Chris…I feel bad for both parties, he’s going through this nonsense and she’s trynna party her hurt away…SAD!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree it is more to the story, I believe that Rhi made up alot of things that night out of angry. She look fine to me party every night. Chris stand your grounds if you
are telling the true. Go back to school and get your life straight and go back where
you first started in the church because God will work it out. Just because a woman said she been hit is not always true. It is some crazy woman in the world today.

  34. Some of you people disgust me. Too busy lusting after this young man to really realize what is going on.
Good thing they did call the police, one of them could’ve ended up alot worse. So you see a couple arguing furiously and what? You go back to bed? Pretend you don’t see it? Wouldn’t you be pissed to know that someone you loved could’ve been saved but someone “didnt want to get in their business”. Go figure.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Didnt Jay-z smack a girl back in 2000?
Did we not still support him?
I use his celebrity status because he’s larger than CB and has become a changed man. I don’t believe a man should put his hand on any woman, but why are Oprah, Gale, MTV and others just now addressing this issue? Why make Chris Brown out to be the only “punk” in the world when so many women suffer from this on a regular basis? Why are we using their “celebrity” to talk about domestic abuse? Did people not look at it as men hearing CB doing it so they feel that they can as well.
Look how people have made this out to be a mockery, shirts, “Chris Brown a h**”, etc.

On a different note, who is to say that people don’t change? Yes abuse can be repetitive, but I’m sure there are some men out there who realize that they have been doing wrong. That is the problem with the way people, particularly young black men, are viewed today. Our pasts project our futures. The kid appears to be remorseful and he is very much A KID! He’s not a murderer! Not saying that he does not deserve a punishment, but stop kicking mud and help people facing hard times to become clean.

  36. OMG are you serious with that Jay-Z made up b.s.... on his tour for his DVD he hit pretended to hit a woman backstage who was like his tour manager and it was all staged... she went on air and said it was all fake and they were just messing around...

And chris brown being a kid...my ass... when a "kid" has sex he's not longer a kid he's an adult and when you are 18 you are an adult so please!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. His Lawyer knows what he is doing….there is something very wrong with this case! Very Wrong Indeed!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I don’t know what’s worser Chris Brown pleading not guilty or the pathetic low self esteem female fans defending his actions. What he did was awful and he should pay for it like everyone else. If Chris really wanted to salvage his career he would have taken the plea deal and moved on. SMH @ the chicken heads on this site.

  39. I hope justice is served! I really hope he is getting some counseling. Even if he gets off this is really going to leave a mark on his mind

All that aside, I am FEELING the sweater and all black! Might not have been the smartest color but that is sharp!
